Resort Pool Concept

As part of other renovation projects ongoing for this client, we were asked to help them open a pool refresh within 6 months of being awarded our contract.  Because of our close working relationship with the contractor, we broke ground without construction documents focusing on completing design within a month and providing construction documents 1 month later.  Bid packages were utilized for civil mass grading changes and underground utilities.  Our design was always a half step ahead of the construction schedule. 

The client asked for a Las Vegas resort style party pool allowing the pool to become a source of revenue unlike most hotel pools which are considered amenities. Working with our landscape consultant, we created designs for the pool landscape within weeks.  I produced the sketches below for early presentations.  These were used for subsequent early coordination meetings with the contractors who were already deep in the site demolition.

Projected Project Cost:  $180 million

Project Details:  Three restaurants, pool suites, cabanas, elevated plunge pool suites, stage for DJ and traveling events, new spa facility, three pool bars and event suite.  The multiple sources of income would allow the operator to make ample revenue year around.  Even with the pools shut down for winter, the other amenities were intended to contribute to positive revenue.
