Choctaw Broken Bow Resort

Choctaw Landings was completed first quarter 2024 near Broken Bow, Oklahoma.  My responsibility was lead design / project architect / document team lead.  Design and documentation was prepared in 6 months under a CM at Risk contract.  Total project cost settled at $250 million.

The renderings below were all my own work developed with 3ds Max, Rhino, Sketchup, Revit running through the Vray rendering suite.

My primary focus was exterior design and assisted in design of the restaurant, mercantile and the center bar.  I was shifted to another project to run early design and documentation while another member of the team continued on with CA.

The link below to the interview presentation was work I completed at the request of the owner to review unacceptable work from another architect that was under review.  They wanted us to approach the project with a light touch to preserve the areas they already paid for design that could work.  My job was to identify the areas that didn’t work for hospitality and gaming and develop new designs that met their goals.  Because the project was in Broken Bow, an effort was made to build off the architectural vernacular established by the local cabins and mountain style resorts the client was drawn to.

Project Cost:  $250 million

Project Details:  100 Key hotel, 1 three meal restaurant, 600 game casino, mercantile grocery/convenience store, plaza and lawn with large stage, center bar, resort pool.  The project was designed to expand into another 200 guestroom hotel, additional 600 game casino and a doubling expansion of the resort pool.
